This requires breaking and rebuilding floor sections plus extending drainage lines, so we plan it carefully during the design stage. All changes follow proper slope and venting standards, and are priced transparently in the quote — no surprise charges later.
What materials work best for bathrooms in Chittagong's humid climate?
For Chittagong’s coastal humidity, we recommend porcelain or vitrified tiles (low porosity, won’t absorb moisture), anti-rust hardware (stainless steel 304 or solid brass), PVC or aluminum vanity bodies instead of regular MDF, tempered glass partitions, and quartz or solid surface countertops. Can you renovate a bathroom without breaking the whole floor?
If plumbing locations stay the same and the existing waterproofing is intact, a cosmetic renovation (new tiles over existing, replacing fittings, vanity, fixtures) can be done without breaking the floor. But if there are leaks, plumbing changes, or the existing waterproofing is older than 8-10 years, we strongly recommend a full renovation including floor work — patchwork tends to fail within 1-2 years and ends up costing more than doing it right the first time.
